Brother Dan Palmer
Acoustic guitars, vocals
Singer, songwriter, producer, arranger
Brother Dan was born and raised in Ohio, where he began studying classical guitar at the age of six. He began performing within a couple of years, traveling throughout the midwestern states. His family moved to Lake Tahoe, NV as he entered high school, and Brother Dan still makes his home in Northern Nevada. Throughout his school years, Dan studied and performed in school choir, jazz choir, jazz band, and began appearing professionally on a regular basis in the Lake Tahoe area. Receiving a vocal scholarship to the University of Nevada at Reno, Dan attended college briefly before setting out on the road, which has always been his passion. A fifteen year marriage greatly reduced Brother Dan's travels, and the resulting detour included a five year stint as music director of a large church and introduced Dan to conducting choirs, horn sections, and string sections, even while he was writing, charting and arranging for those same groups. The road has led Dan to play in virtually every venue imaginable, from concerts, to passing the hat in the streets, to bars and nightclubs, showrooms and cabarets, to radio and television. His road has crisscrossed the United States, and now the world, as his music paves the way for his recent forays into Europe. The hard-won experience and wisdom that he has gained along the way permeates his music. At this point, the road lies open before him . . . we invite you to come along for the ride.
